Cooperation between researchers in Austria and Israel Submissions: Sep. 7, 2026 to Dec. 10, 2026 (02:00 pm Vienna local time) In cooperation with the Israel Science Foundation (ISF), the FWF offers funding for closely integrated project collaborations between researchers in Austria and Israel. The aim of the collaboration is to take advantage of and combine the strengths of both research systems. The current call is open until December 10, 2026. Target group The funding program is aimed at researchers from all disciplines. For details, please see the application guidelines for Principal Investigator Projects. Funding goals The cooperation is intended to fund closely integrated projects in which researchers in Austria and Israel make substantial scientific contributions, creating added value through international cooperation. Funding period Between 36 and 48 months Requirements For international Principal Investigator Projects with Israel, the application requirements of the FWF's Principal Investigator Projects apply. Approval The FWF is acting as lead agency for this call and will be responsible for the review and selection process. Application information Proposals are submitted online using the electronic application portal elane. Applications must be submitted to the FWF by December 10, 2026 (2:00 pm CET) and to the ISF by December 13, 2026 (1:00 pm IST).
